Good Day, Everyone!
Have you ever scrolled through social media and felt
afterward?
Research shows that too much social media can damage your self-esteem ...
especially if you find that you’re comparing yourself to others – not just your friends but also celebs and health & fitness influencers.
Let’s talk about the TRUTH behind those social media images! Because often, you’re only seeing the END RESULT of a lot of hard work. Probably YEARS of hard work.
Sure, they might make it look easy in their carefully curated (and often photoshopped) Instagram or FB photos. In fact, it might even look “glamorous.”
But the truth is, especially with the influencers, what you’re actually seeing is the result of incredible day-in and day-out dedication to their workouts, meal planning, sleep, and stress management.
There is NO such thing as an overnight success. There never has been, and there never will be.
The comparison can be counterproductive and can quickly derail your success.
You deserve so much more than that!!!
What you want to do is allow that to INSPIRE you to work harder and continue down your path ... not make you feel “less than” or bad about yourself and your body.
If they have results that you want for yourself, use that energy toward your OWN fitness and health journey ... and get after it as passionately as they do!
This will build your confidence, your energy, and give you the results you’re looking for.
(Plus, you might even spend LESS TIME on social media, which actually is correlated with improved self-esteem.)
It’s a win-win-win all the way around!
Make it an amazing day,
